The Future of Bitcoin Layer 2 Plutochain is a state-of-the-art layer 2 solution that aims to address the scalability challenges faced by Bitcoin. By leveraging advanced scaling mechanisms such as state channels, sidechains, and blockchain rollups, Plutochain enhances transaction speed and reduces fees, making Bitcoin more accessible and efficient for users worldwide.

# Why Built on Layer 2?

1. **Scalability**: Layer 2 solutions have the potential to significantly boost transaction throughput and alleviate congestion on the main blockchain, allowing for a higher number of transactions to be processed per second.
2. **Reduced Transaction Costs**: L2 solutions often achieve lower transaction fees by processing transactions off-chain or on a separate chain. This cost-effectiveness benefits users who engage in transactions.
3. **Swift Confirmations**: Transactions conducted on Layer 2 can be confirmed much more rapidly than those on the main chain. This enables instant payments and enhances the overall user experience.
4. **Interoperability**: Many Layer 2 solutions are intentionally designed to be compatible with multiple L1 blockchains, facilitating cross-chain interoperability.

# Deploying Your First Contract on PlutoChain Testnet

This tutorial is designed for developers looking to get started with Solidity development on PlutoChain. If you're already proficient in Solidity, you'll find that PlutoChain integrates seamlessly with your existing workflow. PlutoChain is designed to "just work" with existing Ethereum tooling, so you can use the tools you already know like [Hardhat](https://hardhat.org/) or [Foundry](https://getfoundry.sh/) just like you would on Ethereum.

This tutorial will guide you through deploying your first smart contract on PlutoChain Testnet using [Remix](https://remix.ethereum.org/), a web-based Solidity IDE.

### Dependencies <a href="#dependencies" id="dependencies"></a>

* Firefox or any Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, etc.)

### Wallet Setup <a href="#wallet-setup" id="wallet-setup"></a>

You'll need access to an [Ethereum wallet(opens in a new tab)](https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/) if you want to deploy a smart contract. This tutorial uses [MetaMask(opens in a new tab)](https://metamask.io/), a popular browser extension wallet, just to get you started. MetaMask is also available as a mobile application, but it's typically easier to use the browser extension for development. If you already have MetaMask installed, you can skip this section.

### 1. Install the Metamask extension for your browser <a href="#id-1.-install-the-metamask-extension-for-your-browser" id="id-1.-install-the-metamask-extension-for-your-browser"></a>

Head over to [metamask.io](https://metamask.io/) and click the "Download" button. You'll then be given an option to install the MetaMask extension for your browser. If using a Chromium-based browser, you may be prompted to install the MetaMask extension from the Chrome Web Store. An onboarding page will pop up once the extension is installed.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2F6bghxfUXWmeSJ5Dnv2I9%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=06397db0-8f29-4c30-9732-16de06cf73c0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 2. Continue to create a new wallet <a href="#id-2.-continue-to-create-a-new-wallet" id="id-2.-continue-to-create-a-new-wallet"></a>

MetaMask will ask you to accept their terms of service. Read them carefully, then tick the box to accept them. Once you've accepted the terms of service, you can create a new wallet by clicking the "Create a new wallet" button.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FGPGXZBgULiWFAaXQcbQH%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0e4e8053-db93-485a-afd1-42d7061585ae" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 3. Decide if you want to share usage data <a href="#id-3.-decide-if-you-want-to-share-usage-data" id="id-3.-decide-if-you-want-to-share-usage-data"></a>

After starting the wallet creation process you'll be asked if you'd like to share usage data with MetaMask. This is entirely up to you. Select "I agree" or "No thanks" depending on your preference.

### 4. Create Password <a href="#id-4.-create-password" id="id-4.-create-password"></a>

You'll be asked to create a password for your wallet. This password will be used to encrypt your wallet, so make sure it's a strong one that you won't forget.

You'll be asked to confirm that you understand MetaMask cannot recover your password if you lose it. You may want to store this password in a password manager. Remember, browser-based wallets are great for development but are not the most secure option. Consider looking into a hardware wallet if you're planning to store a significant amount of ETH or ERC-20 tokens.

Once you've written down your password, click "Create a new wallet" to continue.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FDSHHYhBxpUWi5dmyig7Y%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=2c4bc349-6324-417f-b283-f9f3f15d205c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 5. Watch the short security video <a href="#id-5.-watch-the-short-security-video" id="id-5.-watch-the-short-security-video"></a>

MetaMask will now show you a short video about wallet security. If this is your first time using MetaMask or a browser-based wallet, it's recommended that you watch the video.

### 6. Secure your wallet <a href="#id-6.-secure-your-wallet" id="id-6.-secure-your-wallet"></a>

You'll be presented with the option to "Secure my wallet (recommended)" or "Remind me later (not recommended)". It's strongly recommended to continue with the "Secure my wallet (recommended)" option. This will prompt you to back up your wallet and might prevent you from losing access to your wallet down the line.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FuZWxVHsXcPcFXgEuwpjO%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=2641f839-f049-4fbb-85ba-7af6bb5d705d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 7. Write down your secret recovery phrase <a href="#id-7.-write-down-your-secret-recovery-phrase" id="id-7.-write-down-your-secret-recovery-phrase"></a>

After continuing with "Secure my wallet (recommended)", you'll be asked to write down a 12 word secret recovery phrase. This phrase can be used to recover your wallet if you lose your password or the browser extension somehow becomes corrupted. Write these words down somewhere safe and keep them secret. For a development wallet, it's fine to keep the phrase in a password manager. Just don't place too much importance in this wallet.

### 8. Confirm your secret recovery phrase <a href="#id-8.-confirm-your-secret-recovery-phrase" id="id-8.-confirm-your-secret-recovery-phrase"></a>

After writing down your secret recovery phrase, you'll be asked to confirm it. This is to make sure you wrote it down correctly. MetaMask will ask you to input a few of the words you wrote down. Make sure to input them in the correct order.<br>

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FvL2I93h9qAyBvvAWuZqE%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=19312d67-bfb2-4268-97c1-0feb86f37124" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 9. Complete the wallet creation process <a href="#id-9.-complete-the-wallet-creation-process" id="id-9.-complete-the-wallet-creation-process"></a>

You're all done! Read through the final page to get some more tips from MetaMask, then click "Got it!" when you're ready to continue.

{% hint style="info" %}
Want to explore wallets other than MetaMask? There are many different kinds of wallets out there. You can use [Ethereum.org's "Find a wallet" feature(opens in a new tab)](https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/) to find one that works for you.
{% endhint %}

### Check Your Wallet Balance <a href="#check-your-wallet-balance" id="check-your-wallet-balance"></a>

After you get some PLUTO on PlutoChain Testnet, you can check your wallet balance in MetaMask. Make sure that your balance has updated before continuing. If you don't see any PLUTO in your wallet, double check that your MetaMask is connected to the PlutoChain Testnet.

### Write Your First Contract <a href="#write-your-first-contract" id="write-your-first-contract"></a>

The most popular smart contract development language today is [Solidity(opens in a new tab)](https://docs.soliditylang.org/en/latest/). In this tutorial, you'll be using a browser-based integrated development environment (IDE) called [Remix(opens in a new tab)](https://remix.ethereum.org/). Remix is a great tool for learning Solidity because it requires minimal setup and runs in your browser.

### Open Remix <a href="#open-remix" id="open-remix"></a>

Head over to [remix.ethereum.org(opens in a new tab)](https://remix.ethereum.org/) to open Remix. You'll be presented with a welcome screen and a popup asking if you'd like to share usage data with Remix. Accept or decline this request depending on your preferences.

### Step through the tutorial <a href="#step-through-the-tutorial" id="step-through-the-tutorial"></a>

Remix has a small built-in tutorial that will walk you through the basics of the IDE. Click the "Next" button to step through the tutorial. Read through the tips to get a sense of the IDE.

### Create an empty contract file <a href="#create-an-empty-contract-file" id="create-an-empty-contract-file"></a>

Click on the "File" icon in the left sidebar to create a new file. Name the file "MyFirstContract.sol" and hit enter to create it.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FjVp65hxCiNEXHvFl1sV2%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=10bdc4a0-ec70-4a23-8884-a6593e574afc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Write your first contract <a href="#write-your-first-contract-1" id="write-your-first-contract-1"></a>

This tutorial will show you how to deploy a simple contract that has a storage variable you can read and write. You'll be able to update this variable with a transaction and then retrieve the updated value. This is just a simple example to get you started.

Copy and paste the following code into the file you just created. Remix will detect copy/pasted code and give you a warning about it. This is meant to prevent you from accidentally running malicious code. Always be careful when copy/pasting code from the internet!

```solidity
// SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT
pragma solidity ^0.8.0;
contract MyFirstContract {
    string public message;
    function setMessage(string memory _message) public {
        message = _message;
    }
}
```

### Compile your contract <a href="#compile-your-contract" id="compile-your-contract"></a>

By default, Remix will automatically compile your contract when you save it. You can also manually compile your contract by clicking the "Solidity Compiler" icon in the left sidebar and then clicking the "Compile" button. It's usually easier to leave automatic compilation enabled. You shouldn't see any compilation errors for this contract.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2Fstf1odkKbX76SVkomHPi%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=39db2b06-3308-438c-9d72-c2eaed435dc5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Deploy Your Contract <a href="#deploy-your-contract" id="deploy-your-contract"></a>

Now that you've written your first contract, you can deploy it to OP Sepolia. Deploying contracts with Remix is pretty straightforward

### **Open the Deploy tab**

Click on the "Deploy & run transactions" icon in the left sidebar to open the Deploy tab (it looks like an Ethereum logo with an arrow pointing to the right). You'll see some deployment options and a list of contracts that are currently compiled. Since you only have one contract, you should see a single contract called "MyFirstContract" in the list.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2Fy980mHMZqBxydi1poHCV%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ac4fe946-c52f-45fc-8982-c952c132eaf3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Change your environment <a href="#change-your-environment" id="change-your-environment"></a>

By default, Remix will try to deploy your contract to a local, in-memory blockchain. This is useful for testing, but you'll need to change your environment to deploy to OP Sepolia for this tutorial. Click on the dropdown underneath the "Environment" heading and select "Injected Provider - MetaMask".

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FSXzbjNcdVnSAqUHRRgwQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b5cb5520-b3cc-4ca6-bfd4-78d1df56015f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Accept the connection request <a href="#accept-the-connection-request" id="accept-the-connection-request"></a>

Once you've selected the "Injected Provider - MetaMask" option, MetaMask will show you a popup asking if you'd like to connect to Remix. Accept this request by clicking the "Connect" button.

### Deploy your contract <a href="#deploy-your-contract-1" id="deploy-your-contract-1"></a>

You're now ready to deploy your contract! Click the orange "Deploy" button to deploy your contract to PlutoChain Testnet. You'll be presented with another MetaMask popup asking you to confirm the transaction. Click the "Confirm" button to continue.

### Wait for your transaction to confirm <a href="#wait-for-your-transaction-to-confirm" id="wait-for-your-transaction-to-confirm"></a>

PlutoChain Testnet is relatively fast, so transactions should confirm within just a few seconds. Remix will automatically detect when your transaction has confirmed and will show you your newly deployed contract under the "Deployed Contracts" heading within the Deploy tab.

### Interact With Your Contract <a href="#interact-with-your-contract" id="interact-with-your-contract"></a>

Now that you've deployed your contract, you can interact with it. Remix makes it easy to interact with your contract by providing a built-in user interface. You can use this interface to call functions on your contract and read its state.

### Expand your contract <a href="#expand-your-contract" id="expand-your-contract"></a>

Click on the arrow next to the name of your contract under the "Deployed Contracts" heading to expand it. You should see a list of functions that you can call on your contract.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FFEeCTHcfH9dZJREXmAdJ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8d7b3db5-8e01-431a-88df-e16e37a12475" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Call the setMessage function <a href="#call-the-setmessage-function" id="call-the-setmessage-function"></a>

Now you'll update the message variable in your contract. Type a message into the input box next to the orange "setMessage" button and click on the "setMessage" button. Just like when you deployed your contract, you'll be presented with a MetaMask popup asking you to confirm the transaction. Click the "Confirm" button to continue.

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FmOZaokH6qgSr6I0QQv7L%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9d5ed40a-7bb2-4b8e-b6e4-20351288e588" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Wait for your transaction to confirm <a href="#wait-for-your-transaction-to-confirm-1" id="wait-for-your-transaction-to-confirm-1"></a>

Once again, Remix will automatically detect when your transaction has confirmed. You'll see a green checkmark appear in the console at the bottom of the screen.

### Read the updated message variable <a href="#read-the-updated-message-variable" id="read-the-updated-message-variable"></a>

Click on the "message" button to read the updated message variable. You should see the message you set in the previous step appear underneath the "message" button. Congrats, you've successfully deployed and interacted with your first smart contract on PlutoChain Testnet!

<figure><img src="https://4206586693-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNsBeUqI8tRrt49l45Vo%2Fuploads%2FyILHumH8rX92JNqZerRW%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a8137097-c908-4335-aa73-ddc253491fc6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### How Your Contract Works <a href="#how-your-contract-works" id="how-your-contract-works"></a>

Now that you've deployed your contract, you might be wondering how it works. Let's take a closer look at the code you wrote.

### **License Identifier**

The first line of most Solidity files is the license identifier. This line is used to specify the license under which the code is released. In this case, the code written is released under the [MIT license(opens in a new tab)](https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT).

```solidity
// SPDX-License-Identifier: MIT
```

### **Pragma Directive**

The next line is a [pragma directive(opens in a new tab)](https://docs.soliditylang.org/en/latest/layout-of-source-files.html#pragma). This line tells the Solidity compiler which version of the Solidity language to use. In this case, the code is written for Solidity version 0.8.0 or higher.

```solidity
pragma solidity ^0.8.0;
```

### Contract Definition <a href="#contract-definition" id="contract-definition"></a>

The next line defines a contract called `MyFirstContract`. A contract is a collection of code and data that is stored at a specific address on the blockchain. You can think of a contract as a class in an object-oriented programming language. The contract definition is followed by a pair of curly braces that contain the contract's code.

```solidity
contract MyFirstContract {
```

### Message Variable <a href="#message-variable" id="message-variable"></a>

The first thing you'll notice inside the contract definition is a variable called `message`. This variable is declared as a `string`, which is a Solidity type that represents a string of characters. The `public` keyword means that this variable can be read from outside the contract.

```solidity
    string public message;
```

### Message Update Function <a href="#message-update-function" id="message-update-function"></a>

The next thing you'll notice is a function called `setMessage`. This function takes a single argument called `_message` of type `string`. The `public` keyword means that this function can be called from outside the contract by anyone. Since this function doesn't have any access control, anyone can update the `message` variable.

```solidity
    function setMessage(string memory _message) public {message = _message;}
```

## Acknowledgement and Agreement

By participating in this token sale, you ("User") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Furthermore, the User agrees to our [Disclaimer ](https://docs.plutochain.io/resources/disclaimer)and [Privacy Policy](https://docs.plutochain.io/resources/privacy-policy).

## Preamble <a href="#preamble" id="preamble"></a>

PlutoChain Protocol ("Protocol") is a Protocol with the purpose of fostering a community around and providing the technological framework for decentralized infrastructures ("Purpose"). The PlutoChain Project is represented by Brickfield Technology Ltd. BVI Company Number: 2143981 (Referred to as Protocol/Project).

The Protocol is currently overseeing the community around the PlutoChain project ("Project") and the decentralized PlutoChain protocol ("Protocol"), as further described in the documentation made available to the Buyer on the website ("Documentation"; the website together with the subdomains the "Website").

In connection with the Project, the Protocol is selling PLUTO ("Token(s)") equivalent to a maximum contribution amount as determined in the sole discretion of the Protocol ("Token Sale") to interested buyers ("Buyer", together with the Protocol the "Parties" and each a "Party"). The Protocol may place additional Tokens now or in the future.

The Buyer, who is not subject to any of the Prohibited Jurisdictions and who has given the representations and warranties according to provision 7, has contacted the Protocol on its own initiative to receive information on how to support and participate in the Project, and wishes to purchase Tokens in the Token Sale based on the following terms:

### 1. Scope <a href="#id-1.-scope" id="id-1.-scope"></a>

By buying the Tokens and/or accepting these token sale and purchase terms (the "Terms"), the Buyer explicitly acknowledges and fully agrees to these Terms. These Terms (including any documents and annexes referenced herein) apply to all Buyers of Tokens in the Token Sale. In case of any conflicts or inconsistencies between these Terms and any documents or annexes referenced herein, these Terms take precedence.

Any potential future use of the Token or the Protocol may be subject to and governed by separate terms, conditions, and policies (as may be amended from time to time).

### 2. Purchase of Tokens <a href="#id-2.-purchase-of-tokens" id="id-2.-purchase-of-tokens"></a>

#### 2.1 Contribution Amount and Token Amount <a href="#id-2.1-contribution-amount-and-token-amount" id="id-2.1-contribution-amount-and-token-amount"></a>

Based on the total purchase amount selected by the Buyer on the Website (the "Contribution Amount"), the amount of Tokens to be received by the Buyer (the "Token Amount") is determined based on the price per Token ("Price per Token") as further outlined on the Website.

#### 2.2 Method of Contribution and Payment Terms <a href="#id-2.2-method-of-contribution-and-payment-terms" id="id-2.2-method-of-contribution-and-payment-terms"></a>

The Buyer shall pay the Contribution Amount in the currency and as per the instructions on the Website. The Protocol may change the available payment methods and currencies or refuse payments at its sole discretion at any time.

The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that, depending on the method of contribution, there may be fees associated with the purchase of Tokens (e.g., gas fees) which are fully borne by the Buyer.

Buyers that send the Contribution Amount in any currency or in any manner or to any third party website, wallet address, bank account, service, smart contract, or similar that do not conform to the instructions laid out on the Website or these Terms risk losing their entire Contribution Amount. The Protocol is not responsible or liable for recovering any such lost contributions, nor will the Protocol be responsible or liable for any losses incurred by the Buyer in this respect.

#### 2.3 Unsold Tokens <a href="#id-2.3-unsold-tokens" id="id-2.3-unsold-tokens"></a>

In the event that not all Tokens available for purchase, as determined in the sole discretion of the Protocol, are sold in the Token Sale, the Protocol is free to use the unsold Tokens as it sees fit.

### 3 Token Sale, Token Functionalities <a href="#id-3-token-sale-token-functionalities" id="id-3-token-sale-token-functionalities"></a>

#### 3.1 Delivery of Tokens <a href="#id-3.1-delivery-of-tokens" id="id-3.1-delivery-of-tokens"></a>

Subject to: (i) the Buyer meeting all participation criteria as determined by the Protocol, (ii) the right to request information and the right to exclude from the Token Sale (cf. provision 3.3), (iii) the availability of Tokens, (iv) the receipt of the full Contribution Amount, and (v) the designation of a valid recipient address by the Buyer, the Tokens shall be delivered to the Buyer as further outlined on the Website.

#### 3.2 Right to request information & Right to exclude from the Token Sale <a href="#id-3.2-right-to-request-information-and-right-to-exclude-from-the-token-sale" id="id-3.2-right-to-request-information-and-right-to-exclude-from-the-token-sale"></a>

Before the Buyer is able to make a contribution, or at any time after making a contribution, the Protocol may (in its sole and absolute discretion):

Request the Buyer to provide certain information and documentation for the purposes of satisfying 'know-your-customer' ("KYC") or similar obligations as determined by the Protocol; Determine that it is necessary to obtain certain other information about the Buyer in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations in connection with the creation and issuance of the Tokens to the Buyer. The Buyer agrees that it will, promptly upon the Protocol's first request, supply such information and documentation as may be requested by the Protocol in order to fulfill the above.

The Buyer acknowledges and accepts that the Protocol:

may, in its absolute discretion and without providing reasons, refuse or reject any Contribution Amount for the purchase of Tokens and exclude any Buyer from the Token Sale; notwithstanding the above, is not required to create or issue Tokens to the Buyer, unless and until the Buyer provides all information and documentation that the Protocol may request under this provision 3.3 and the Protocol has determined, in its absolute discretion, that it is permissible to create and issue Tokens to the Buyer under applicable law and the Buyer meets all other criteria and obligations as set out in these Terms.

#### 3.3 Token Functionalities and Intellectual Property Rights <a href="#id-3.3-token-functionalities-and-intellectual-property-rights" id="id-3.3-token-functionalities-and-intellectual-property-rights"></a>

The Tokens are available as cryptographic tokens following the ERC-20 standard. The currently active and envisaged functionalities of the Token are described in further detail in the Documentation.

The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the Tokens (i) do not confer or represent any right of any form, including but not limited to any equity or ownership, voting, distribution, redemption, liquidation, intellectual property, participation, or any other legal right towards the Protocol, the Project or any third party; (ii) are not any kind of loan to the Protocol or to a third party; (iii) do not represent any right to receive future revenues, shares in or relating to the Protocol, the Project or the Protocol, (iv) do not represent any form of currency, money or legal tender, whether fiat or otherwise, in any jurisdiction, nor do they constitute any substitute or representation of currency, deposit or legal tender (including electronic money) nor do they have, or are envisaged to have in the future, a payment function or a function as a means of payment; (v) do not represent a deposit and do not grant any form of (re)payment claim or similar to the Buyer.

The Buyer further acknowledges and agrees that the Project will evolve over time and that the Protocol may change, reduce or add functionalities of the Tokens in its sole discretion. The Tokens do not have a payment function and are not intended to serve as a means of payment now or in the future.

#### 3.4 Security <a href="#id-3.4-security" id="id-3.4-security"></a>

The Buyer is responsible for implementing all reasonable and appropriate measures for securing the wallet, vault or other storage mechanism used to send the Contribution Amount and/or receive and store Tokens. If the Buyer's private key(s) or other access credentials are lost, the Buyer will lose access to its Tokens. The Protocol has no means of recovering such Tokens and is not responsible for any such losses.

Notwithstanding provision 6, the Protocol excludes (to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law) any and all liability for any security breaches or other acts or omissions which result in your loss of (including your loss of access to) Tokens.

#### 3.5 Token Distribution & Token Supply <a href="#id-3.5-token-distribution-and-token-supply" id="id-3.5-token-distribution-and-token-supply"></a>

The token distribution and token supply as outlined in the Documentation is indicative and may be subject to change as reasonably determined by the Protocol.

#### 3.6 Use of Proceeds <a href="#id-3.6-use-of-proceeds" id="id-3.6-use-of-proceeds"></a>

The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the Protocol will have broad discretion over the use of proceeds from this Token Sale. Any section on the allocation of funds allocation in the Documentation is indicative only.

### 4. Intellectual Property Rights <a href="#id-4.-intellectual-property-rights" id="id-4.-intellectual-property-rights"></a>

The Buyer acknowledges that the Protocol retains all current and future right, title and interest in all of Protocol's, the Project's, or the Protocol's intellectual property, including, without limitation, inventions, ideas, concepts, code, discoveries, processes, marks, methods, software, compositions, formulae, techniques, information, and data, whether or not patentable, copyrightable or protectable in trademark, and any trademarks, copyright or patents based thereon ("IP Rights"). The Buyer may not use any of the Protocol's intellectual property for any reason without the Protocol's prior explicit written consent.

The Buyer acknowledges and agrees that by participating in the Token Sale, the Buyer does not (i) acquire or otherwise be entitled to any IP Rights; (ii) make a claim in respect of any IP Rights or any other equivalent rights; (iii) use, attempt to use, copy, imitate or modify (whether in whole or in part) any IP Rights, except with the prior explicit written consent of the Protocol.

UNLESS EXPLICITLY STATED OTHERWISE IN THESE TERMS, THE Protocol DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, AND ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES SHALL BE EXCLUDED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW

IN PARTICULAR, THE Protocol DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES REGARDING (I) ANY PARTICULAR FEATURE OF THE TOKEN, THE PROJECT AND/OR THE Protocol, AND (II) THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF THE PROJECT AND/OR THE TOKEN. **Risk of uninsured losses:**

Unlike bank accounts or accounts with government-backed financial organizations, tokens are not covered unless the buyer buys private insurance, particularly for that purpose. There is no public insurer for the loss of PlutoChain tokens.

**Risk of price fluctuation:**

The value of the PlutoChain Token can be volatile, which poses a challenge for even experienced cryptocurrency traders to model and predict its future market behavior. Additionally, the value of native cryptocurrencies associated with the networks where PlutoChain token is used can also fluctuate, directly or indirectly affecting the token's value in the market. It is essential for the buyer to fully understand the risks associated with the fluctuation of cryptocurrency prices and that external market forces usually drive these significant price changes beyond the control of the Company. The buyer should acknowledge that the value of their PlutoChain Token may decrease and/or increase, and they may potentially lose some or all of the amount spent. In particular, several factors may affect the prices of crypto items, including (but not limited to) buyers’ interest, market fluctuation, technological changes, and the regulatory environment.

You accept and acknowledge that we will not be responsible for any communication failures, disruptions, errors, distortions, or delays that you may experience when using our services or products, however caused, when utilizing

**Regulatory risks:**

The regulatory regime governing tokens and cryptocurrencies is uncertain, and new regulations or policies may adversely affect our services and products.

Assets that you are buying may become inaccessible on our website. The Ethereum network, on which PlutoChain is deployed, may be temporarily or permanently unavailable.

**Fraud risks:**

You are also aware of fraud risks when buying crypto items, and you need to exercise great caution when accessing our links and websites. Under no circumstances shall the inability to view or access your assets serve as grounds for a claim against us. Please note that we reserve the right to amend our offers, as described on this website, on our Discord server, on our Telegram channel, on our X (formerly Twitter) account, in our Whitepaper, and/or in other places where we may advertise our products. The buyer acknowledges and accepts the inherent risks connected with PlutoChain tokens, including, but not limited to, risks associated with money laundering, fraud, exploitation for criminal purposes, and any other unanticipated dangers.
